The building is the former Presidential palace. In March
1957 it was the site of an unsuccessful assassination against Batista.
Now it is the Revolution Museum. Inside the museum is a complete exhibition
dedicated to all aspects of the Cuban revolution. In front of the museum
is the SAU-100 tank which was used by Fidel Castro during the Battle of
the Bay of
Pigs (Bahia de Cochinos) in the province of Matanzas. |

erected in 1905.

In 1956 the
Granma carried Fidel and 82 comrades from Tuxpan in Mexico to Playa
de las Coloradas in Cuba. You can see the original Granma here. Surrounding
the Granma are vehicles used during the resistance against Batista and
some airplanes and army vehicles used by Batista. |

this place were the San Lázaro's Quarries. Here was Jose Martí condemned to forced works. At present there
is a center
dedicated to the dissemination of Jose Marti's legacy.
