Sancti Spiritus / Trinidad

Trinidad is an interesting place to have a stop. During the sixties in the
nearby Sierra (valley) de Escambray the USA have supported anti-Cuban
forces to overthrow the Fidel Castro government. The " Museo Nacional de la Lucha Contra Bandidos"
tells the story. There is also a " Casa de los Martires de Trinidad"
and on the road to Cienfuegos there is a monument to a teacher who was
murdered by the counterrevolutionaries.
