She is not only an ardent patriot and a distinguished national heroine who performed brilliant exploits after the country's liberation, devoting her whole life to the building of a new country, but also the mother of the revolution who gave birth to Comrade Kim Jong II, a great son of the Sun's nation, and brought him up to be the greatest successor to the revolutionary cause of Juche, equipped with pen and sword, loyal and dutiful.

Comrade Kim Jong Suk was also a daughter, sister and mother of the people, who had always shared life and death, sweets and bitters with her people and devoted her whole life to them. Greeting her 80th birthday colourful functions, including meetings, rallies, evening entertainments, art performances and meetings to make vow and resolution, were held grandly in all parts of the country.
