revolutionary exploits made by the great leader President Kim II Sung
during the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, in particular his
exploits made in the battle of the Musan area. The grand monument

The statue stands at Lake Samji, where he had stayed on May 21, 1939
after he set foot into the homeland. The group Fatherland (6 m high and
40 m long) depicts the soldiers of the KPRA advancing into the homeland,
led by President Kim II Sung. Longing (6 m high and 45 m long) describes
the people's joy and warm welcome to the President and the KPRA
soldiers. Advance (12 m high and 55 m long) depicts the KPRA soldiers
