Kim Jong IL was born on February 16,1942, the son of Presidant Kim IL Sung and the anti-Japanese heroine Kim Jong Suk. In his childhood he felt great respect and adoration for his mother, who as a heroine had all the qualities and virtues he idealized. His mother passed away when he was so young. All great men that shone in the pages of history were in some way distinguished when they were young. He showed his eminence as an explorer of human destiny already in his childhood and youth through his unusual, intelligent thinking, active and sincere character and his genius for finding correct solutions to complex matters. How great one is-this is judged by how quickly one foresees what’s coming and skillfully copes with it beforehand. There is nothing mysterious in this ability. It becomes possible when one discovers possible solutions in the world around one, carefully examines all laws governing human life and concentrates on endless daily meditation and study. Great men are blessed with the gift of averting an accident before it occurs. Great men can alter the path of events in a moment. Kim Jong IL has an illustrious gift in his ability to study, analyze and find solutions to the demands of the people, and to questions arising in politics, culture and ideological and theoretical fields. He embodies the gifts of both ordinary individuals and men of eminence. Following his primary and secondary education, he majored in political economy in Kim IL Sung University in Pyongyang until March 1964. He has been awarded the titles of doctor and professor emeritus by many foreign academic institutions. This attests to his omniscience and creative talents. Unlike other leaders, he has written many books from a feeling of being responsible for the destiny of the country and people; however, he shows little concern for academic degrees and titles. For a long time his meditation, study and activities have been those of a worthy leader. The great achievements he has made so far in his work are the result of his ideological evolution, skillful organization, and incomparably efficient and faultless manner of working.

He entered the university holding great ambitions, he threw all his energy into studying revolutionary idea, revolutionary theory and leading methods of Comrade Kim Jong IL and holding the knowledge in the field of nature and society.
