Duc District, One
Pillar Pagoda (Chua Mot Cot Thu Duc) |
| |
During
the Vietnam War this pagoda was used by the Viet Cong. Cadres of the
Viet Cong posed as peasants from the countryside offering their labor to
the Buddhists. Thus they had a convenient cover to live in Ho Chi Minh
City (Saigon). There they could conduct secret activities. |
| Thu
Duc District is about 15 kilometer from central Saigon. The address is 1/91 Nguyen Du
Street. |
